Shanxi Power Grid will have 25 UHV transmission lines undergoing maintenance this month, marking the highest number of monthly maintenance operations in nearly 5 years, state media China News Service reported. Among them, 18 of the lines are part of a series project for the adjustment of Shanxi's "West-to-East" power transmission channel. These projects, scheduled to be completed and put into operation before the peak summer demand, are expected to further enhance the outbound transmission capacity of Shanxi Power Grid.

China's yuan-denominated deposits increased by 7.32 trillion yuan in Jan-Apr, the PBOC data showed. Among them, household deposits increased by 6.71 trillion yuan, non-financial corporate deposits decreased by 1.65 trillion yuan, fiscal deposits decreased by 187.4 billion yuan, and deposits in non-banking financial institutions increased by 1.23 trillion yuan.

The M1 stood at 66.01 trillion yuan at the end of April, down 1.4% YoY, according to the PBOC on May 11.
